Unfortunately the Notice Board outside the Village Hall has been damaged beyond repair in the recent gales. This was a very useful asset to the village, not only for Hall business, but being opposite the play park, it kept visitors to the Village informed of what is happening in the area.

There is a long tradition in the village of local craftsmen making notice boards, e.g. the late Mr Kelly made the board which has just been damaged whilst Mr Marwick renovated it, and Mr Cunningham, who farmed at Tanderlane, made the one at the Church gate.

If there is someone with the talent to make something to replace what we have just lost, the Hall Committee would be delighted to hear from them with a view to discussing the cost of materials etc.  Please contact Hazel Clark if you have any ideas, or know where a second hand weatherproof notice board might be sourced.
