Lucy’s Place: Wild Swim Event – Apply by 12th April 2024

Thank you to all that applied to the Lucy’s Place coastal geology walk. We are delighted by the response and the event is now closed to applications.

Excited to announce our next free community well-being meet is a wild swim at Whiteadder reservoir.  Wild swimming has be found to have significant benefits to health and well-being. Whiteadder reservoir’s clear, fresh waters is an ideal place for a swim or a dip. Wetsuits are available if required and you will be safely supported by a kayaker and a rescue boat so you can simply relax and enjoy your time with a lovely group of people. There will also be an opportunity after the swim for a warm shower and a hot chocolate in the club house.

This event is delivered by partners at Whiteadder Watersports Trust whom are experienced and trained Watersports instructors. They are also fabulous people that are hugely supportive and encouraging.

Thanks to Crystal Rigg Community Fund and Garvald Community Council, the event is free and spaces are prioritised for anyone engaged in psychological therapy to improve their mental well-being and/or anyone living in Garvald and Morham ward. This event is however open to all to apply. Wider communities are invited to give a donation of whatever they can afford.
